Jacqueline Jossa up for EastEnders return ‘one day’

Jacqueline Jossa says she might return to ‘EastEnders’ "one day" – but is hoping to land a musical theatre role next.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner departed the BBC One soap in February 2018 after her character Lauren Branning – who she had played from 2010 – fell off the roof of the Queen Vic pub, but somehow survived.
And the 27-year-old star admits she would "never say never" about heading back to the show.
Asked if she would return to ‘EastEnders’, she said: "Maybe one day, I would never, ever say never.
"I got thrown off a building, and I hobbled off with a walking stick.
"She’s somewhere, I think she might be in New Zealand.
"I loved it there [on ‘EastEnders’], it was amazing."
The Queen of the Jungle admits she would love to land some musical theatre roles next year, or even release some of her own music, but admits her "heart" will always be with TV acting.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: "I haven’t really met up with management and all of that.
"I think I want to do some form of theatre, maybe musical theatre, maybe my own music?
"Obviously, my heart is always with acting so back on the telly doing something like that."
Jacqueline’s comments come after she is said to have turned down an ‘EastEnders’ return four months ago.
A pal recently said: "Jacqueline had a few conversations with bosses about a big return four months before she entered the jungle.
"After weighing up her options she just felt the money wasn’t enough compared to what she could earn elsewhere."
She is said to be keen to try her hand at other projects after leaving the soap.
The pal added: "She loves ‘EastEnders’ and thoroughly enjoyed her time on the show but Jacqueline is a very talented young woman and not just when it comes to acting.
"There are lots of strings to her bow and there’s lots of things she wants to try, which she can’t do when she’s on ‘EastEnders’."
