Yewande Biala reflects on awkward Love Island scenes

Yewande Biala thought she looked "really sexy" when she sat on Danny Williams’ lap during her time on ‘Love Island’, despite viewers finding it awkward.
The 23-year-old beauty appeared on the 2019 series of the ITV2 reality show, and was getting to know hunky Danny before his head was turned by newcomer Arabella Chi.
In a bid to get his attention, Yewande came on strong, and in one scene was seen walking across the lawn to where he was sitting, and plonking herself down in his lap.
At the time, viewers cringed at the awkward exchange, but Yewande has admitted that she didn’t realise how bizarre it looked until she watched the footage back once she’d left the villa.
She said: "You know when I actually watched that back it looked completely different. I thought I was walking up like really seductively, really sexy, and I thought I was sitting like really sexily. It wasn’t like that in my head. In my head it looked so much better, then I watched it."
The Irish beauty made her comments whilst chatting with her cast mates Amber Gill and Anna Vakili on their new podcast ‘Reality Check’, which sees people send in questions to the girls, who then give them advice.
As the trio met on ‘Love Island’, they decided to make the first episode all about love and relationships, and the first question saw a fan ask if she should tell a male friend that she’s starting to have feelings for him.
The question prompted Amber – who won the show alongside Greg O’Shea, but split with him shortly afterwards – to jump at the chance to shut down rumours of a romance between herself and close pal Ovie Soko.
She said: "Okay so first of all, I didn’t pick this question because it means anything to me, the friendships I have are definitely friendships, there’s no guy out there that I’m friends with and I like!"
And after Yewande asked if she’s "sure", she added: "I’m 100 percent sure. I wish I never picked this question."
