Saffron Barker leaves Strictly Come Dancing

Saffron Barker has become the latest celebrity to exit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 19-year-old YouTuber was voted off the show by the judges after finding herself in the dread dance-off against CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual.
Explaining his decision to save Karim, Craig Revel Horwood said: "Tonight was easy for me – the best dance tonight was Amy and Karim."
Similarly, Motsi Mabuse admitted that the decision was fairly straightforward.
Motsi explained: "One couple left me no choice, it was a perfect performance and I’m going to save Karim and Amy."
Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli also chose to save Karim.
He said: "I want to keep the couple that has proven to be the strongest both technically and artistically."
And Head Judge Shirley Ballas subsequently revealed that she would have also chosen to save Karim over Saffron.
Despite her early exit, Saffron insisted she loved her time on the BBC show.
She also hailed her ‘Strictly’ partner AJ Pritchard.
Saffron said: "I’ve had the absolute time of my life and it’s all down to him. It’s been amazing.
"I’d like to thank AJ so much, when I look at what I was like on week one I was so embarrassed and shy. He’s really taken me out of my shell. Thank you so much for everything."
AJ also spoke enthusiastically about his time with Saffron.
He shared: "Every single week you’ve approached it with a positive mental attitude and you’ve inspired so many … on your own social media too.
"As a non-dancer starting from day one – I’m not going to lie I was a bit scared … but performing those fantastic dances has been amazing. I’ll never ever ever forget that dance. Thank you. The best partner. Thank you."
