David Walliams and Matt Lucas to reunite for new TV series?

David Walliams and Matt Lucas are in talks to reunite for a new TV series.
The ‘Little Britain’ stars recently worked together on a one-off Brexit-themed special called ‘Little Brexit’ and the pair are considering another series together.
Speaking on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, David said: "We had great fun doing [‘Little Brexit’], we got Tony Head and Ruth Jones back. It was a total surprise because the audience who came didn’t even know what they were coming to see.
"It was great so hopefully we’ll be doing some more things together. We might do [another TV series together] we were talking about it just today.
"But we don’t know for sure exactly what we want to do, whether we want to revisit things from the past or we want to do something totally new."
David and Matt wrote and starred in comedy sketch show Little Britain from 2000-2007 and they brought back many of their beloved characters – including Dafydd, Vicky Pollard, Emily Howard, Marjorie Dawes, Mr Mann, and Lou and Andy – for the Brexit special.
The show originally aired on the radio station in 2000 before moving to the BBC as a TV series which ran for three series and won back-to-back BAFTAs for Best Comedy Performance.
Radio 4 comedy commissioning editor Sioned Wiliam said: "It’s a privilege to have them back on Radio 4, where ‘Little Britain’ first began almost 20 years ago."
Meanwhile, Matt admitted in 2017 he would make ‘Little Britain’ differently now if he was having another go, because "society has moved on a lot" and he had changed his own opinions. He said: "If I could go back and do ‘Little Britain’ again, I wouldn’t make those jokes about transvestites.
"I wouldn’t play black characters. Basically, I wouldn’t make that show now. It would upset people. We made a more cruel kind of comedy than I’d do now.
"Society has moved on a lot since then, and my own views have evolved. There was no bad intent there – the only thing you could accuse us of was greed. We just wanted to show off about what a diverse bunch of people we could play."
‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ airs on ITV, Saturday (23.11.19) at 10:10pm.
