Caitlyn Jenner to act as I’m A Celebrity ‘peacemaker’

Caitlyn Jenner claims she will act as the jungle "peacemaker" on this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 70-year-old reality TV star is looking forward to "bringing people together" on the ITV show, admits she is great at boiling water, and when it rains she will be able to construct streams to flow away from camp to ensure her and her fellow campmates don’t get too wet under foot.
She said: "I am definitely a peacemaker and I do think I bring people together. I am also very handy making things and I am good at boiling water.
"I will also keep the fire going and when it starts raining, I will make little streams to go outside the camp rather than through it."
Caitlyn is no stranger to jungle life having taken part in the US version of the programme – which was also filmed in Australia – and she is hoping her experience will be similar to her 2003 stint, when it "cleansed her soul".
She explained: "I did the US version of this and it was a very interesting experience last time I did it.
"Being in the jungle is certainly not easy and yes, it is totally back to basics but I thought this would be a great opportunity to leave everything behind for three weeks.
"Last time, it was almost like a cleansing of the soul."
Caitlyn admits her famous family – who include kids Kendall and Kylie Jenner – questioned why she wanted to take part in the show, but she needed "a break" from normal life.
She said: "I said, you know what, I need a break, I like challenges."
Caitlyn will be joined in the jungle by singer Nadine Coyle, former footballer Ian Wright, Rak-Su singer Myles Stephenson, Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts, comedian Andrew Maxwell, ex-‘EastEnders’ actress Jacqueline Jossa, Capital Radio DJ Roman Kemp, former England rugby player James Haskell, and TV presenter Kate Garraway.
