Pete Wicks would never date Chloe Sims.
The 30-year-old reality TV star says he wouldn’t risk his close friendship with his ‘TOWIE’ co-star by embarking on a romantic relationship with her, even though she has called them "soulmates".
Pete told The Sun Online: "Me and Chloe have been mates for so long it is one of those things I would never want to hurt or ruin our friendship.
"I have had a bad history with women and Chloe has been hurt before so there’s no way either of us would risk what we have.
"I know a lot of people would like to see us together. I do love her to bits as a person and I would never not want her in my life but just as friends.
"We have too much to lose to ever risk it."
And Pete admitted he is taking a break from relationships as he doesn’t think he is ready to settle down.
Meanwhile, Chloe, 36 – who was left devastated after her brief relationship with former pal Dan Edgar ended and he went back to his ex Amber Turner – believes Pete is her soulmate but said she doesn’t think they will ever embark on a romance.
She previously said: "I think Pete is my soulmate. He definitely is. We are so close and I do love him. I say to him all the time that I love him, but I don’t know if soulmates have to be together in a sexual relationship."
She recently went on a date with Pamela Anderson’s ex Adil Rami, 33, and said she is looking forward to seeing him again.
Chloe told MailOnline: "We had a really nice date. It was a perfect date. He was a gentleman and we are going to be seeing each other again in a few weeks. He was beautiful in person. We’ve been speaking for a while. If you met him, you’d be like, ‘Wow’."
