Nadine Mulkerrin "cried all the way home" as he left hospital with her newborn baby, and wouldn’t let Rory Douglas-Speed drive faster than 5mph.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who plays Cleo McQueen in the Channel 4 soap – gave birth to son Reggie on Tuesday night (15.10.19), and she and her fiancé and co-star Rory (Joel Dexter) took the little one back home yesterday (17.10.19), which left Nadine "terrified" that they were now responsible for a baby.
She wrote on Instagram: "We’ve Left! I cried all the way home and made Rory drive 5mph
What a terrifying moment being left responsible with the most precious thing ever! Feeling very teary and told nearly everyone in the hospital they were an angel. (Not the drugs talking)
Thank you all for your gorgeous messages!
P.s Yorkshire anthems will not be withheld from this child! (sic)"
Nadine praised the NHS staff who looked after her during and after her birth as "angels", as she revealed to fans she had given birth.
She wrote: "Reggie Speed. You’re the coolest little dude we never knew we were missing in our lives! We love you so Much.
Also Thank you to every incredible NHS worker we’ve come across at the womens. (Helen,Jordine,Amy,Amy) You’re all walking angels. Thank you so much for making one of the biggest moments of our lives so extra special with care. (sic)"
Joel admitted he was "so proud" of Nadine following Reggie’s birth.
He wrote: "Welcome to the family wee Reggie Speed 15.10.19
We love You man. So proud of Nadine, I didn’t think I could love her anymore but my heart is bloody bursting! She was amazing throughout her labour,
