Dianne Buswell makes plea to angry fans over Shirley Ballas threats

Dianne Buswell has pleaded with angry ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ fans to stop tweeting "death threats" to Shirley Ballas.
The 30-year-old pro dancer was eliminated from the competition on Sunday night (13.10.19) alongside Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin – after losing the dance-off to Viscountess Emma Weymouth and Aljaz Skorjanec – and following their axing, some disgruntled viewers have taken their anger out on head judge Shirley, 59.
Following some abusive tweets, one fan begged Dianne to help Shirley.
They wrote: "Please sort your fans out @dbuzz6589 & @Joe_Sugg. I get why people are upset & I don’t think it was @dev_101’s time to go. But sending vile abusive tweets & death threats to @ShirleyBallas is totally out of order. Imagine if it was a member of your family on the receiving end (sic)"
Dianne tweeted: "Guys this is terrible you can not be bullying like this.
"It’s awful and really upsets me to hear this .
"It’s simply not ok and should never happen! (sic)"
The BBC One show was hit by hundreds of viewers accusing the judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley, and Bruno Tonioli – of underscoring, the show being fixed, and voting phone lines being down.
Fellow pro dancer James Jordan also criticised the judges, claiming they were "all over the place".
Earlier this week, Shirley defended herself from the trolls.
She said: "People have got to get out there and vote. We do our job. As you can see there were many people saved with lot lower scores.
"The three judges were unanimous. It wasn’t down to me. It was unanimous and I agreed."
Devastated Dianne has received plenty of praise for her time on the show.
The ballroom dancer tweeted: "I have seen so many tweets and msgs the last few days but at the end of the day this show is the best and I’m so excited to watch the rest each Saturday night as there allllll soooooo amazing! So please let’s think of that!!!! I really do love them all! (sic)"
