Danny Dyer vows to rival Ant and Dec with new show

Danny Dyer’s new Saturday night show is set to rival ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’.
The ‘EastEnders’ actor’s new game show ‘The Wall’ will debut on Saturday (12.10.19) and Danny joked that Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly should be worried as there’s "a new geezer in town".
‘The One Show’ host Patrick Kielty said to Danny: "We love that you’re bringing a bit of danger to Saturday night. I think Ant and Dec are going to be worried."
And Danny replied: "I think they’ve had a good run, but there’s a new geezer in town."
Danny previously admitted he wasn’t sure about the BBC show at first, or if he was the right person for it.
He said: ”I thought they were on drugs! Really, you want me to do a game show, filmed in Poland? I was very confused by it all, to be honest. But I watched the American version and I thought you know what, let’s have a go…"
‘The Wall’ has been described as "the ultimate combination of strategy, knowledge and luck" and viewers have been promised "colossal wins and heart-breaking losses" on the six-part show, which will require pairs to have the right answers, the right bounces and trust in each other to win a life-changing cash prize.
Speaking previously about the show, Danny said: "I’d never had a desire to host a gameshow before I saw this game. I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to help win the public some serious life-changing readies. I love it."
