Emily Atack fires back at cruel weight jibes from online trolls

Emily Atack has fired back at vile online trolls commenting on her weight.
The 29-year-old star has opened up about dealing with social media bullies, admitting she has been fat-shamed by strangers online.
Appearing on BBC Three show ‘Breaking Fashion’, she told In The Style boss Adam Frisby: "It’s horrible enough as a woman when you’ve put on a bit of weight.
"But when somebody says those things about you online it confirms your thoughts. I just can’t be a**ed with some little t**t calling me fat."
The ‘Singletown’ host – who was also the runner-up on last year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ – has seen her career go from strength to strength, but she admitted seeing cruel comments online can make her doubt herself.
She added: "I’m working my a**e off. And I just think, ‘What am I doing this for if I’m just going to get abused?’
"It’s a lot of pressure at the moment and I just want to eat Easter eggs on the settee."
Emily previously revealed she wants her fans to "embrace" their bodies and feel more confident in their own skin, and said a tweet she wrote after the BRIT Awards earlier this year regarding fat-shamers was to highlight the "unhealthy" behaviour she often receives online.
She said: "You know, with the BRITs thing, I did do a bit of a foul-mouthed tweet, but I was more angry about that. I don’t care what people think, if you make a negative comment about me, I can take it – that’s fine.
"It’s how unhealthy I find it, I know a lot of young girls are looking at my Instagram page and for them to see nasty comments written on a photo about my weight, it is bound to make other people feel insecure.
"If people are looking at my pictures and someone called me fat, they might look at that and go, ‘Oh God, if she’s fat, then I must be fat.’ Everyone is always comparing themselves to other people, it was more that I was sticking up for other people maybe going through body insecurities and it’s trolls like that who are the problem."
