Gregory Finnegan loves working with wife in Hollyoaks

Gregory Finnegan loves having his wife Ariana Fraval in ‘Hollyoaks’ with him.
The 39-year-old actor has been playing James Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap since 2016, and has recently welcomed a familiar face onto the set, as his wife Ariana Fraval has joined the cast, making her first appearance this week.
Gregory’s character James is currently reeling from the murder of boyfriend Harry Thompson, and Ariana debuted on Wednesday (02.10.19) as DS Cohen, the police officer who is investigating the crime.
And the couple couldn’t be happier to work together, despite it creating a "double whammy" for childcare of their three children.
Speaking to Radio Times, Gregory said: "Now my wife has joined the show any change in the filming schedules is a double whammy for childcare. So it’s all go, it makes things somewhat difficult but we are getting through it!
"It’s lovely having her here. The first scenes she did were actually with me when James had to identify the body. She has got to know the cast and is making friends – now she finally can put faces to the names I’ve been talking about all these years! It’s good fun working with her."
DS Cohen first appeared this week in scenes which involved James being called to formally identify the corpse unearthed in the woods as that of his missing lover, after Harry was last seen going on the run in July before becoming the latest victim of serial killer Breda McQueen.
Harry’s murder case will intensify over the coming weeks, with James’ reaction to the passing leading him to attempt to take his own life, as DS Cohen battles to against the clock to catch the killer and bring closure for the victims’ families.
