Lucrezia Millarini signs up for Dancing on Ice

Lucrezia Millarini is the fourth contestant to sign up for ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 43-year-old newsreader – who is best known for presenting ‘ITV News London’ – will be taking to the ice for the upcoming season of the celebrity skating competition when it airs next year, and "can’t wait" to get started.
She said: "I’m super excited to be joining the line up for ‘DOI’. I can’t wait to get out there on the ice and start training.
"While the news agenda is already pretty busy these days, I know life is about to get a lot busier … with a few bruises along the way!"
The news was confirmed on the ‘Dancing on Ice’ official Instagram account, where a video of the newsreader was posted alongside clips of the previously revealed contestants, ‘Love Island’ star Maura Higgins, TV presenter Michael Barrymore, and retired Everton footballer Kevin Kilbane.
Eight further celebrities will be announced in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Maura recently spoke on ‘This Morning’ – which is presented by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who also host ‘Dancing On Ice’ – about her decision to take part in the show.
She said: "It’s massive. [The headbanger] is what frightens me – but I think I’m more excited than scared. Like, I’m brave and competitive, so I think that’ll drive me … I’ve skated twice in my life just for fun, so I have no experience at all. It’s very scary!"
The twelfth series of ‘Dancing On Ice’ will see John Barrowman take over as a judge with Jason Gardiner leaving the programme. He joins Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo on the panel.
‘Dancing On Ice’ returns on ITV in 2020.
