Emma Willis was ‘sceptical’ about hosting The Circle

Emma Willis was "very sceptical" about signing up to present ‘The Circle’.
The former ‘Big Brother’ host had reservations about taking on the role on the game show – which is based around a reality setting in which contestants each live alone in an apartment and can only interact with each other via The Circle, a social media-type chat system, in a bid to become the most popular person – because she felt the programme was "celebrating" catfishing.
She said: "[I was] very sceptical about it before I’d watched it.
"I pre-judged it, totally. I thought it was essentially catfishing, and should we really be celebrating that?
"I watched it and I had a totally different opinion."
Emma now believes the show plays an important role in helping people become aware of the dangers of social media.
She said: "It was like a glowing beacon of what we should all be aware of on social media, and that is, ‘Do not trust anybody.’
"I’m super-paranoid, I don’t trust anyone with anything. Especially on social media, because you just don’t know who you’re talking to."
Emma became a qualified NHS maternity care assistant earlier this year thanks to her show ‘Delivering Babies’, and she has been in discussions with the show’s bosses about a potential third series.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she added: "We’re talking at the minute about how we move forward. If we can do series three, because I’m fully qualified now – I’m so proud.
"I want to go back because I love it, because it’s, ‘What can we do next? Can it evolve into something else? Do we look at a different part of the maternity unit?’
"We’re just trying to figure out how that could work."
