Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan have exchanged ‘I love you’s

Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan have already exchanged "I love you"s.
The former ‘Love Island’ stars recently confirmed they had rekindled their romance in the outside world, and although their relationship is still fairly fresh, Joe says they’ve both already "dropped the L-bomb" to one another.
He said: "We’ve dropped the L-bomb.
"I feel like the luckiest guy in the world still. I’ll always be grateful to ‘Love Island’. That show is the reason we met and how I got with this amazing girl.
"We came out and found each other again. Now everyone can see it’s not fake, it’s something real. It sounds like a fairy tale, but true love will always conquer."
Joe, 22, and Lucie, 21, are currently splitting their time between London and Cornwall, but have said they refuse to let the pressures of long distance impact their relationship.
The catering company owner added: "If you really care about someone and you really love them, you will make it work.
"I can understand why other couples have struggled because it is a strain, but for me I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
And although they’ve already said they love each other, Joe insists they’re not rushing into things.
He told The Sun Online: "We’re just going to take every day as it comes and see how things go. That’s the best mentality to have."
Meanwhile, Lucie previously said her romance with Joe is "going really well".
The surfer said: "We’re together and it has been going really well.
"He’s living up in London and I’m down in Cornwall but I’m back and forth and staying in a lot of hotels and at his. I’m up here loads so I get to see him then."
