Anneka Rice needs a "miracle" to be ready for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ after suffering a shoulder tear.
The 60-year-old TV presenter recently suffered a fall and injured her shoulder, which impacted her ‘Strictly’ training sessions and she revealed she is having steroid injections to help her recover.
Anneka told The Sun Online: "About six weeks ago, I fell in my neighbour’s garden going down quite a slippery slope.
"It was after I had signed up and was all ready to go, but in the middle of my proper fitness training, so the last six weeks I have had to really rest it.
"I had steroid injections, and hopefully with a miracle, it will be fine."
However, she insisted that the show will go on.
When asked how bad the injury is, Anneka said: "I don’t know, the steroid injection should help, it just so inflamed.
"It has got a small tear, and it is inflamed, but it is nothing so bad that I can’t carry on."
Meanwhile, Anneka recently revealed she is worried about the show because she finds dancing "embarrassing and humiliating".
"I genuinely have never danced, I’ve got a real thing about dancing – I find it embarrassing and humiliating.
"I was [kicked out] of my dance class when I was a child for being lumpy and un-coordinated.
"It’s a real barrier. No one’s ever seen me dance, not my family at a wedding, disco, club, never. I’m the one holding the coats.
"There probably won’t be anyone out there who hasn’t done it, because everyone has danced, but I haven’t."
Jamie Laing was recently forced to withdraw from the competition after injuring his foot in rehearsals.
