UK acts eliminated from BGT: The Champions

Amanda Holden cried as she sent a Ukranian sand artist through to the final of ‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions’.
The 48-year-old actress was given the coveted Golden Buzzer to use on the first semi-final show on Saturday (31.08.19) and used her power to fast track Kseniya Simonova – who won the first series of ‘Ukraine’s Got Talent’ – straight through.
After Kesniya had created a series of stunning pictures in the sand, Amanda told her: "I heard your story at the beginning of how you work with cancer patients, so the whole message was very uplifting and very emotional.
"For me your quiet skill requires no language, nothing needed explaining you did it with just sand it was absolutely beautiful."
Later in the show, Amanda voiced the shock of all four judges when the top three acts were revealed as 2007 champion Ashleigh Butler and her dog Sully, daredevil US father and daughter duo Bello and Annaliese Nock and dance troupe Boogie Storm, who got to the ‘BGT’ final three years ago.
She yelled: "What about Paul Potts?"
Hosts Ant and Dec eventually revealed the Americans had made it through to the final following the studio audience’s votes, meaning all this week’s UK hopefuls – including Connie Talbot, who was just six years old when she was runner-up to Paul in the first series of ‘BGT’ – were eliminated.
Bello and Annaliese originally competed on ‘America’s Got Talent’ in separate years, doing different shocking stunts, but came together on ‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions’ to wow the judges and audience with an acrobatic act on two huge rotating metal poles.
Speaking after they performed, head judge Simon Cowell – who is also joined on the panel by Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – said: "You two are certifiably insane, and I mean that as a compliment. The reaction here is everything I hope it would be.
"Since I got to know both of you, you are one of the most incredible acts we’ve had on GT over the years. You’re still alive, so thank you."
