Scarlett Moffatt to star in Great British Bake Off for SU2C

Scarlett Moffatt is to star on ‘The Great British Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer’.
The former ‘Gogglebox’ star – who won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in 2016 – is to appear in the star-studded version of the cooking show for charity.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "This coveted ‘GBBO’ slot is just the latest in a long line of projects producers are keen to sign her up for since she made a spectacular exit from the jungle three years ago."
Scarlett is also soon to be on another Channel 4 show, ‘The British Tribe Next Door’, which will see her family’s house rebuilt in a remote African village in Namibia, where they will live alongside the nomadic Himba tribe for a month.
She said: "This is one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life.
"I feel privileged and humbled that the Himba tribe invited us to join them and we have all learnt an enormous amount."
But the Moffatts will still enjoy everyday luxuries like electricity, running water, iPhones, ready meals and television.
Chief Tijone of the Himba tribe added: "I was born in our village and I’ve never travelled far so I don’t know the Western life.
"Of course, there are benefits and there are disadvantages. When the visitors come, they can explain everything to us, and we will learn from each other’s cultures."
Alf Lawrie – Channel 4’s head of factual entertainment – said: "For the first time in human history, British suburbia and Himba tribal life will coexist side-by-side.
"This series contrasts two worlds on a spectacular scale – but at its heart, is about the extraordinary relationships it creates."
