Maura Higgins to get solo spin-off show?

Maura Higgins is reportedly in talks for her own show on ITV2.
The 2019 ‘Love Island’ runner-up – who is dating dancer Curtis Pritchard after being partnered up on the show – was a huge hit with viewers of the dating show this series and has already landed a solo gig on ‘This Morning’ as an agony aunt on ITV1.
And now the 28-year-old ring girl is said to be getting her own programme, which will see her complete a series of thrilling activities and challenges before she turns 30.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "She is great on screen so bosses want to create a platform where viewers can still get their fix.
"While her and Curtis are still together, no-one really knows what the future holds for them as a couple so producers are focusing on Maura.
"They are ironing out details at the moment.
"She has ratings-winner potential, they just have to settle on the right tone."
The news of Maura’s own show comes after it was claimed ‘Love Island’ bosses are said to be holding back from making a spin-off about this year’s winners in case they split up before the show airs.
Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea triumphed in this year’s final over long-term favourites Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, but producers are said to be reluctant to shoot a programme about the pair.
An insider said: "It’s been a publicity disaster in previous years, when couples split before their show aired or appeared to get back together just as the programmes came out."
Last year’s winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham landed spin-off ‘Jack & Dani: Life After Love Island’ but the pair split in December, shortly before the show broadcast in January, before reconciling, and they eventually confirmed their break-up in April.
