The BBC has lowered the temperature in the ‘Breakfast’ studio for Louise Minchin to help with her hot flushes.
The 50-year-old TV presenter has opened up about her experiences of going through the menopause, and admitted the air con is on the "Louise setting" when she is working.
She told HELLO! magazine: "The studio is really cold now. We have the Louise setting’ on the air conditioning."
The host recently completed the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon – which involves swimming 3,800m, cycling 180km and a 42km run – and admitted she feels more muscly than she did in her younger years.
She explained: "I certainly feel better and stronger than I did in my 20s, 30s and 40s. I might have wrinkles, but I’ve got muscles."
Sky News broadcaster Kay, 58, has also opened up about her menopausal experiences, admitting some of her younger male colleagues feel "embarrassed" seeing she is "hot and bothered".
She said: "I didn’t used to talk about it but the young boys in the office would get embarrassed and think, ‘Why is she so hot and bothered?’
"Now I just tell them, ‘Just having a power surge – it’ll be gone in a minute.’ "
And Meg Mathews, 53, said her 19-year-old daughter Anais – who she shares with her ex-husband Noel Gallagher – thinks she talks about the menopause too much.
Meg explained: "She has heard non-stop about it and now rolls her eyes. She’s like, ‘Oh God, here we go again, she’s off’."
