Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins to get whole series

‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins For Stand Up To Cancer’ is reportedly set to become a "whole series".
The charity special saw 12 stars pushed to their limits on a gruelling seven-day slog led by chief instructor and former soldier Ant Middleton in front of an impressive 1.7 million viewers, and now bosses at Channel 4 are said to be offering up a large budget to get "massive names" to take part.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Channel 4 were really pleased with the reception the celeb charity version got, and now producers have got big budgets in place for a whole series.
"They are keen to attract massive names to take part … they really want to avoid it being saturated with the usual reality names."
This year saw the likes of Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow, Olympian Victoria Pendleton, Andrea McClean and sportsman Ben Foden live together at an ex-military base up in the Chilean Andes.
The first challenge the group faced was a backwards dive out of a helicopter.
Andrea admitted she "struggled emotionally" on the programme.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist – who has previously opened up about battling anxiety – broke down in tears on the show when she relived a terrifying memory from her past that she refuses to speak about, and the star admitted that it made her realise she needs to "confront" her memories and face them head on.
She said: "While taking part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, I struggled emotionally when [lead instructor] Ant Middleton shouted at me, as it brought back dark times. Memories I thought I’d pushed so far down into my head that they weren’t there anymore.
"But I realised that putting memories into a box and thinking ‘I’m not going to look at that anymore’ doesn’t mean they’re gone. I’ve realised I’ve got to confront them and address a few things. I haven’t decided what the best course of action is yet, but possibly therapy. I don’t want to break down again like I did on there."
