Dance extravaganza Heartbeat of Home to appear on Strictly Come Dancing?

West End dance extravaganza ‘Heartbeat of Home’ has Bruno Tonioli’s seal of approval and could feature on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in the future.
Padraic Moyles, the Riverdream Productions show’s Associate Director – who was the lead dancer of the hit show ‘Riverdance’, produced by the same team behind ‘Heartbeat of Home’ – has revealed many of the professional dancers and judge Bruno attended a performance of the show, which sees 33 world-class dancers and live musicians from across the globe unite their dance styles and cultures on stage, and there was talk of doing one "unbelievable number" on the BBC One ballroom and Latin show whilst they are in London for a stint at the Piccadilly Theatre this autumn.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Padraic said: "What we wanted do to get that.
"I even heard mention of the possibility, because a lot of the ‘Strictly’ dancers came to watch the show and we were talking about the possibility of a collaboration because it matches so well.
"Their latin dances and ballroom dances we have Latin and ballroom and we could collaborate with them on an unbelievable number on ‘Strictly’ while we are here [at the Piccadilly Theatre].
"So it would be fascinating."
The Dublin-born star – who joined ‘Riverdance’ in 1997, going on to become Dance Captain and Principal Dancer, and has performed for the likes of Queen Elizabeth and Michelle Obama – also said that some of the ‘Strictly’ pros told him that they would love to appear in ‘Heartbeat of Home’ in the future.
He said: "Their admiration from the show and the energy they had based on what they had seen, they were talking about how inspiring it was and how they would love to be in it and hopefully one day that will come around."
‘Heartbeat of Home’ will begin previews at the Piccadilly Theatre, London on 4 September. For more information and ticket details visit www.heartbeatofhome.com
