George Clooney isn’t cut out for Twitter.
The ‘Monuments Men’ star doesn’t want an account on the social networking site because he’s worried he’ll post inappropriate comments when he’s had too much to drink.
When asked whether he’d sign up to the site, he told Variety: "[No,] just because I like to have a drink at night. I could easily say something stupid, and I also don’t think you need to be that available."
The 52-year-old actor also admitted he can’t imagine his friends Brad Pitt, 50, or Matt Damon, 43, joining Twitter either because neither of them have any interest in sharing their thoughts on the site, which sees each post limited to just 140 characters.
He joked: "I don’t see Matt or Brad or myself wanting to get our thoughts out in a 140-character-thing at three in the morning.
"God forbid, you take a sleeping pill and wake up and the sentences don’t even make sense. What a horrible idea."
George has previously branded celebrities "a moron" for using Twitter as a way of reaching out to their fans.
He said: "I think anyone who is famous is a moron if they’re on Twitter. It’s just stupid."
