John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen returning for season 2

ITV have ordered a second serving of ‘John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen’.
The cookery series – which sees engaged couple John Torode and Lisa Faulkner cooking from their kitchens on Sunday mornings – has been commissioned for a second series which is due to begin on Sunday 9th June.
John said: "We’re thrilled that viewers have welcomed us into their homes on Sunday mornings and we look forward to being joined by some fantastic foodie guests in the forthcoming new series."
Lisa added: "It’s a dream come true for John and I to present our very own cooking series together, especially as we now get to invite some of our friends and favourite food personalities into our kitchen too."
The upcoming show has been extended to two hours – from its original duration of one hour – and will give viewers tips about what to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Executive producer Sue Walton, said: "John and Lisa are inspiring to spend a weekend morning with, always providing plenty of take out along with a warm welcome.
"We are delighted to be going to a second series and look forward to bringing viewers even more fabulous and accessible food inspiration, not to mention an abundance of expert tips from John and Lisa in the brand new series."
Emma Gormley, managing director, ITVS Daytime, said: "Testament to the pair’s natural chemistry, we are delighted to see a re-commission for another series of ‘John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen’."
And ITV heads of daytime Jane Beacon and Clare Ely added: "Re-ordering this show was an easy decision for us.
"Viewers are enjoying our food-themed programming on Sunday mornings and ‘John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen’ feels a perfect fit to the schedule."
