Marnie Simpson is expecting a baby boy

Marnie Simpson is expecting a baby boy.
The 27-year-old ‘Geordie Shore’ star and her boyfriend Casey Johnson are set to welcome their first child together in just a few weeks, and after unveiling the news of their tot’s gender to their friends at a gender reveal party last week, Marnie has now told the public she’s going to have a son.
She said: "I was genuinely so shocked, I just screamed and said, ‘Oh my God, it’s a boy!’ I didn’t think I would produce a boy.
"When I first found out I was pregnant I told my mum and Casey’s auntie and cousin that I wanted a boy, but after that I was so scared to say it out loud because I never get any luck.
"Everyone I spoke to said they thought we were having a girl so I convinced myself I wanted a girl. Deep down I wanted a boy all along. It’s made me so excited for the birth."
And Casey is just as thrilled with the news, as he’s always wanted his first child to be a boy, and then a girl second.
He added to OK! magazine: "I wanted a boy first and a girl next. It’s brought us even closer together. We want two or three children all together."
Meanwhile, although she and Casey are closer than ever thanks to their impending arrival, Marnie recently said she is in no hurry to marry the 23-year-old singer.
She said: "I feel like Casey is still a bit young and that in this day and age it’s not essential to be married to have children.
"I’ll just do it when it feels right, but when I do get married, I think it will be a very small wedding, with about 20 people there.
"For now, we’re just focusing on having a baby."
