Bonnie Anderson ‘struggled’ with Neighbours crying scenes

Bonnie Anderson used to "struggle" with crying scenes on ‘Neighbours’.
The 24-year-old soap star – who has played Bea Nilsson on the popular Australian show since May 2018 – was determined to be able to turn on the waterworks in emotional moments as part of her craft, and she was so happy when she finally managed to "really let go".
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "In the beginning there were times when I struggled a little bit with the crying. It was something really important to me, it was like, ‘I want to be an actor so I want to cry.’
"It was a really cool thing. I remember one scene I really, really let go. I think it’s just about letting it go and moving on.
"I did one time – I was talking about Finn and I was in a scene with Piper and I was talking about the experience and I just broke down.
"It was the coolest moment ever. But it was weird because I wasn’t emotional afterwards."
Bonnie – who has turned to acting after winning the first ever ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ aged 12 in 2007 – says that despite shooting emotional scenes on the Channel 5 soap, she tries her best not to take her work home with her.
She added: "I never take it home with me. I’m very much – with my acting work and my own life – you deal with something, then you let it go, then you move on.
"That’s how I’ve always been."
‘Neighbours’ airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
