Luke Jerdy once saw counsellor to address ‘anger issues’

Luke Jerdy once saw a counsellor to "help with previously unaddressed anger issues".
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor says undergoing a counselling session was "one of the best things I could have done" because he needed a "neutral ear" to listen to his issues at the time.
Speaking about chatting to his former ‘Hollyoaks’ co-star Jess Ellis about mental health on her ‘Dilemmas’ podcast, he wrote on Instagram: "We had a really interesting chat about our own mental health, our anxieties and our life experiences. My main group of friends certainly fall into the stereotypical Male category: we don’t talk about our feelings much, if at all, and when we do it is very surface level. I’m guilty of not really knowing if any of my mates are actually ok, like properly ok, not just on the outside. I hope this helps a little to encourage lads (and lasses!) to talk to each other more, along with the great work being done by organisations like Ed’s. I have been lucky enough to work as an Actor, where a lot of what we do is emotion-based and I have a lot of open friends who are available to listen. However, I have needed a neutral ear in the past too and have been to a counsellor to help with previously unaddressed anger issues. It was one of the best things I could have done. (sic)"
Luke has also encouraged others to talk by sending him a message if they feel they need to speak to someone.
He wrote: "I would never claim to be an expert, but I can certainly listen and point you in the right direction for help.
Talking helps, it really does. And trust me, there is always someone who will listen to you. Feel free to share your own experiences, your feelings, your thoughts in the comments or send me a DM. I hope this is just the start of the conversation. (sic)"
