Jay Kontzle shares heartbreak over mum death

Jay Kontzle says losing his mum when he was four years old has made it "easier to overcome" adulthood issues.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star doesn’t worry too much if he loses a job or if someone says something "nasty" to him, because he has been through "much worse" when his mother passed away, and he survived a near-death experience aged three months when his pram ploughed into a shop window after his mum was struck by a car.
He said: "After my mum died and all the stuff that happened to me when I was young, I see stuff that happens now as not a big thing.
"If I lose a job or someone says something nasty about me, I don’t care because I’ve been through bigger, much worse things. I find it easier to overcome things.
"My mum was the best person in the world, but my grandparents have done a really good job. I really appreciate everything they’ve done for me."
The 28-year-old actor has two kids, KaiBo, two, and 10-month-old Zian, with his wife Mimi, and joked he was intoxicated when he agreed to have children with her.
He explained: "I said yes when I was drunk one night and that was the green light."
Mimi added: "It’s hard work but it’s worth it. But this age is the best age because they’re so loving."
And Jay quipped he may end up with another six additions to the couple’s brood if he agrees to have another kid.
Speaking to OK! magazine, he joked: "I’ll say yes once and we’ll end up with six more kids."
