Romesh Ranganathan returns for a second series of Judge Romesh

Romesh Ranganathan is back for a second series of ‘Judge Romesh’.
The 41-year-old comedian is delighted to be returning to Channel Dave for a second series of ‘Judge Romesh’ – where he listens to trivial real-life disputes and brings decisions and justice with his witty humour – because he loves helping people.
According to the Daily Star, Romesh said: "Some may think it’s because it’s an easy job, the money’s good and I’m working with mates. But the truth is I’m purely motivated by helping people with the problems that they, for some reason, believe to be important."
The comedian stars alongside comic Tom Davis who takes the role of his trusty bailiff and Jessica Knappett will be bringing laughs as the new court clerk.
Romesh previously said he loved the concept of his show – which follows a similar format to legal series such as ‘Judge Judy’ and ‘Judge Rinder’ but has a comedic spin – because he always imagined he could make a more light-hearted version of serious courtroom shows.
Speaking about series one, Romesh previously said: "Whenever I have watched shows like Judge Judy or Judge Rinder, I have always thought these people would be better served by someone with fewer legal qualifications and less interest. It is for that reason that I am delighted to make that dream a reality. I am thrilled to be able to help as many people as I can with their crappy problems."
Producers Hungry Bear also explained that the show is unique because the comedian uses his "own inimitable" comedic style to help "real people with real problems."
They said: "Each week Romesh presides over genuine disagreements and metes out comic judgement in his own inimitable style. The people who enter the court are not actors, but real people with real problems."
