Selena Gomez reportedly stopped hanging out with Kendall and Kylie Jenner because she thinks they’re a "toxic distraction."
The ‘Come & Get It’ hitmaker – who unfollowed the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ stars on Instagram and deleted all her pictures of them earlier this week – decided to turn her back on many of her old friends because she wants to focus on her career and doesn’t want to be known as a party girl.
The 21-year-old star – who sought treatment in rehab in January – formed a close friendship with the reality TV sisters in recent months, but had an epiphany after hanging out with them and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber, at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California earlier this month.
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that Selena decided to cut people, she considers the biggest sources of negativity, out of her life because she hated being surrounded by booze and drugs while hanging out with Kendall, 18, Kylie, 16, Justin, 20, and their entourages at the festival.
The ‘Spring Breakers’ actress, who is currently following zero people on Instagram, has started going to church almost daily and wants to get her life back on track after a difficult few months, during which she cancelled her world tour and fired her parents as her managers.
