Chris Brown is returning to LA

Chris Brown is set to return to Los Angeles after his trial was postponed for the second time on Wednesday (23.04.14).

The R&B star – who is facing misdemeanour assault charges for allegedly hitting Parker Adams and breaking his nose in Washington D.C. last October after rebuffing his request for a photograph – was originally due to appear before a judge at the city’s Superior Court on Monday (21.04.14), but his trial has now been rescheduled for June 25.

A source told the Washington Post newspaper that US Marshals will escort the ‘Fine China’ hitmaker back to LA where a judge will determine whether he should remain in jail until the trial begins in just over two months time.

The 24-year-old star’s probation was revoked last month after he allegedly made threats while seeking court-ordered treatment in rehab in California, and at that time the judge originally stated that he would be released on Wednesday.

Chris’ trial has suffered delays since his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was found guilty of misdemeanour assault stemming from the incident last October on Monday.

Hollosy, who will be sentenced in June and faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, was originally scheduled to testify on behalf of the ‘Turn Up the Music’ singer, but after he was found guilty, he decided he would not testify unless the prosecutors offered him immunity, as he plans to appeal his conviction.

If convicted the entertainer faces a maximum of six months in jail and $1,000 fine, but he also faces up to four more years in jail in California as a result of violating the terms of his probation, stemming from his assault on Rihanna in 2009.
