James Argent compares Gemma Collins’ fall to Tyson Fury

James ‘Arg’ Argent says Gemma Collins’ ‘Dancing On Ice’ fall was like watching Tyson Fury get up during a heavyweight boxing match.
The 31-year-old star – who has been dating his former co-star on and off since 2017 – was left shocked when his beau took a tumble on the ice on Sunday night (27.01.19), and her recovery reminded him of watching Fury, who got up off the canvas during a fight with Deontay Wilder following a 12th round knockdown.
While Gemma, 37, was left in tears after her ‘Dancing On Ice’ routine on Sunday night after she face-planted onto the rink, James says she was "absolutely amazing".
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, he said: "I am so proud of Gemma, she was absolutely amazing.
"Everyone in the audience can tell how hard she worked this week and you know, when she fell face first – face plant – everyone was petrified, we thought she’d even done her teeth in or she’d broke her jaw but the way she got back up was absolutely amazing.
"It reminded me of when Tyson Fury got back up in his heavyweight fights. She got back up as if nothing had happened, she carried on and she finished the routine."
Gemma is partnered with skating professional Matt Evers, and the duo were saved in the public vote, which eventually saw Didi Conn sent home after a skate-off.
Matt has confessed Gemma "raised the bar" during her "beautiful" routine, despite her fall.
He said: "I’m just gutted for her because she has worked do hard this week and then to go out there and give that performance, it was absolutely beautiful and technically she has raised the bar. Then at the very last minute she tripped, but she stood up, she carried on, she had a smile on her face.
"She’s devastated though because she really wanted to put everything in this performance and show everyone at home that she worked really hard."
