Hollyoaks’ Jacob Roberts reveals terrifying fan encounter

Jacob Roberts was terrified after a fan chased him round the supermarket and asked for his phone number.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star – who plays Damon Kinsella on the show – has opened up about the bizarre encounter when a "middle-aged man" followed him around Asda asking for an autograph, and later banging on his car window.
He told The Sun Online’s Soap Bubble: "I was down an aisle and he kept asking me if I had a pen and paper and I was like, ‘Sorry I don’t carry a pen and paper with me’.
"So anyway he goes off and buys his pen and paper and I sign it and we take a photo.
"Then I go and get in my car and the next thing I know as I’m driving off and he’s banging on my window. I go to wind it down but just slightly and he’s going ‘Have you got a number?’, can I have your number?’ "
The soap star admitted the man "could have beaten [him] up", and explained how he had to turn down the unusual request.
He added: "He kept asking me for my number and stuff and was inviting me for a pool night. So I just said, ‘Listen mate, I can’t give my number out, I just can’t.’
"That was one I was quite scared of because it was a middle aged man and not a teenage girl. He was a middle aged man who could have beaten me up. I soon booted off."
