Charlie Brooker has no plans for more interactive Black Mirror episodes

Charlie Brooker has no plans for more interactive ‘Black Mirror’ episodes.
The anthology series returned on December 28 with a one-off special episode called ‘Bandersnatch’, which put the viewers in control of their own experiences by allowing them to choose where the story would branch off to, with five possible endings each with their own variants.
Asked if he had any advice for people looking at interactive television, the show’s creator quipped: "Run away. It’s harder than you think."
Charlie also opened up about the level of thought for the episode – which saw two-and-a-half hours of footage filmed – including the ease with which viewers could end up in another loop, despite reaching the end.
He said: "There’s a ‘Groundhog Day’ aspect where it keeps cycling around, deliberately so."
While nothing has been officially announced for the highly-anticipated fifth series of the Netflix show, Charlie admitted he wants to turn the show on its head and move away from the programme’s usual dark technological themes.
He explained: "We’re doing more optimistic episodes and stories, rather than just dystopian and negative ones. We want to keep the show interesting for us."
‘Bandersnatch’ was unveiled after Miley Cyrus revealed she will be appearing in the show’s fifth season.
Opening up about filming during the Californian wildfires last month, she recently said: "There’s a lot of dimension to it, and actually it was while the devastation of Malibu was happening, and it was a really weird learning experience for me because I was so far from home and the show is already really dark, and it’s already kind of eerie when you’re there the whole time.
"But I learned a lot about myself, and I think I was able to use that and put that into it."
