Jennifer Hudson’s shoe-throwing The Voice compliment

Jennifer Hudson throws shoes at ‘The Voice’ contestants when she is impressed by them.
The 37-year-old singer uses the unusual technique to praise a wannabe when they have put in a strong performance, and she has hinted there is some tough competition on next year’s series, because she has launched plenty of her footwear while filming the programme.
She said: "I’ve thrown quite a few shoes! It’s just I really don’t know how to define it … it’s a compliment, though.
"It means you are singing so well I’m gonna throw my shoe at you."
While Jennifer hasn’t divulged where she got the idea from, she insists throwing her shoe at a singer is the "highest compliment" she can give anyone.
She said: "It’s the highest compliment is all I can say.
"I kind of want to hit them but as they’re so far away the next best thing is I’m going to grab my shoe and let them know."
Jennifer’s comments come 15 months after she had her first footwear chucked at her while she was on stage performing in Boston, and she could barely finish her song afterwards.
She wrote on Instagram: "I told my crew I said lord people r going to start throwing shoes at me after @nbcthevoice and yal that just what happened tonight ! I got my first shoe thrown at me tonight ! lol I could barely finish my song after this guy got done ! Lol to much ! I love it !! #boston (sic)"
