Karen Clifton ‘so proud’ of Kevin Clifton’s Strictly success

Karen Clifton is "so proud" of her estranged husband Kevin Clifton after he won ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The pair split up earlier this year, but ‘Strictly’ pro Karen has paid tribute to Kevin’s "hard work, patience and pure brilliance" after he managed a Glitterball Trophy win, alongside partner Stacey Dooley, following five final appearances.
Karen wrote on Instagram: "Our 2018 @bbcstrictly champions!
@keviclifton & @sjdooley .
So proud and extremely happy for you guys.
Kev – 5x finalist and you finally did it!!
Your hard work, patience and pure brilliance paid off. So proud of you x (sic)"
Karen also heaped praise on documentary presenter Stacey, admitting the 31-year-old star is her "hero".
She added: "Stacey- you are what Strictly is about girl!! My hero x (sic)"
Kevin broke down in tears on spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’ as he paid tribute to Stacey and praised her for helping him fall in love with dancing again.
He said: "I’m feeling a bit emotional right now. I just want to, for God’s sake, I just want to say thank you to you, not only for the hard work you have put in.
"I have had one of the craziest years of my life, you’ve just been so nice to work with, I’ve enjoyed it so much. I know I said this the other day, but, I’ve fallen in love with dancing all over again and Strictly all over again. I love this show. Thank you for everything."
