Ryan Thomas rules out Corrie comeback as he joins Brewing Good Cheer campaign

Ryan Thomas has ruled out a ‘Coronation Street’ return for the foreseeable future as he focuses on "new adventures".
The soap star – who left his role on the cobbles as Jason Grimshaw in 2016 and went on to win this year’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – revealed while he is grateful for the love he still gets from fans, he wants to pursue other things in his own life and career.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s lovely to hear that the viewers miss me, going back to Corrie is a question I get asked all the time and you can never forget where you come from and the show will always have a place in my heart.
"I think career wise, and where I am in my life, I’m looking at new things and new adventures and I think ‘Corrie’ is not something I’m thinking about now, but never say never.
"I’m a big believer in taking it a day at a time, there are always opportunities being thrown my way and my manager is on the phone every day. I want a new adventure and something to look forward to.
"I don’t really get time to think about the future, my life is non-stop at the moment with the kids and everything. I don’t over-think too much, it’s quite a good way to be I think."
Ryan and his actor sibling Adam – who left ‘Emmerdale’ this year after nine years playing Adam Barton – have joined forces with Heineken for the beer’s Brewing Good Cheer campaign in a bid to battle loneliness across the UK.
The campaign – which supports charities Chatterbox and AXM Foundation – will see 100 pubs open their doors to thousands of isolated and vulnerable people with Christmas lunches giving them a three course meal and the chance to socialise with members of their community.
Adam added: "I think we’ve all felt alone at some point in our lives and when the Heineken Brewing Good Cheer Campaign got in touch, we couldn’t turn it down. We wanted to get on board and help.
"We’re very fortunate because we’ve got a big family but other people don’t. Plus we love a good pint, so that helps!"
Ryan revealed he and his family gathered at their local pub when he left the ‘CBB’ house, and he backed the campaign as something everything can get behind.
He said: "We like to go to the pub and celebrate with family and get together with family so this campaign has a connection with everybody."
