Lord Alan Sugar blames himself for Rita Simons’ I’m A Celebrity exit

Lord Alan Sugar thinks he may be to blame for Rita Simons’ ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ exit.
The 71-year-old entrepreneur has made himself responsible for the former ‘EastEnders’ actress’ departure from the hit ITV show on Tuesday night (04.12.18), after some viewers only just discovered she is his niece.
He retweeted a message from Rita in which she referenced their relationship, and he wrote: "This maybe why the public voted her out. It might be my fault. (sic)"
Rita told the fact to the campmates after fellow contestant Harry Redknapp was chatting about his son Jamie and nephew Frank Lampard’s success on the football pitch.
She then said that family connections don’t lead to success in any given field and insisted that being related to her uncle Alan – meaning Lord Sugar, who has an estimated net worth of £1.4 billion – did not help her establish herself as an actor and a performer.
She explained: "It was my intention to be an actor and a performer, which is what I do, and how can Alan help me do that?"
Fans were also shocked to discover Emily Atack is related to Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, who is a cousin of her mother Kate Robbins.
Rita – who played Roxy Mitchell in ‘EastEnders’ – is "really happy" to have left the jungle camp, despite just being a matter of days away from the final, because the experience was far more challenging than she had ever imagined it would be.
She said: "It was so much harder than I ever thought it would be. I am the sort of person that just goes [all in] with everything I do, I go in the deep end.
"The thing that killed me the most was the boredom when the other guys went out to do a trial and I was just sitting alone and I am no good at sitting around."
