Acacia and Aaliyah leave The X Factor

Acacia and Aaliyah have been eliminated from ‘The X Factor’.
The duo – who were Robbie Williams’ last act on this year’s series – have exited the show at the semi-final stage, having been beaten in the dreaded sing-off by Scarlett Lee.
Both acts were praised by the ‘X Factor’ judging panel, with Louis Tomlinson saying they each deserved a recording contract based on their performances during the series and their potential.
Ayda Field admitted she hated having to choose between the two acts, before she eventually opted to save Scarlett, while Simon Cowell also praised Acacia and Aaliyah.
But, ultimately, the judges opted to save Scarlett, who delivered an emotion-filled performance in the sing-off to secure her place in the final.
Scarlett, 20 – who tried her luck on ‘The X Factor’ in 2017 – burst into tears when it was revealed she’d be remaining in the competition.
On the other hand, Acacia and Aaliyah – who were put together as a double act earlier in the series – revealed they loved their time on the ITV show and promised to keep chasing their dream of becoming stars.
The result means that Scarlett, Dalton Harris and Anthony Russell will battle it out to win this year’s ‘X Factor’ crown.
