Sir Paul McCartney says he’s still writing songs with the same rule‑dodging, wide‑eyed mischief he had as a teenager.

Faye Tozer: ‘Being away from husband is tricky’

Faye Tozer admits it is "tricky" being away from her husband during ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 43-year-old Steps star revealed she is missing her spouse Michael Smith, with whom she has a nine-year-old son, but says they have a solid family unit which is helping her get through it.
She told The Sun: "It’s always tricky being away from home. You just have to keep your head above water.
"We’ve just got to keep really tight as a family unit and make sure we communicate — I think that’s the only way. But it is tough being away from home because we miss each other."
Faye was recently spotted enjoying a cosy meal with her hunky 28-year-old dance partner Giovanni Pernice but she insisted the pair are just good friends.
She said: "I can feed myself thank you very much. But I had a bit of salad on my face so he took it off and that was it."
And Faye’s Steps bandmate Claire Richards recently insisted the star won’t fall to the ‘Strictly’ curse.
The former ‘Popstar to Operastar’ contestant said: "She’s not that stupid. If she’s having an affair with her partner she’s not going to be sitting in the window of a restaurant.
"It was her birthday that day and they don’t normally go out for lunch. She’s made of tough stuff, her and her husband are solid… I think. He’s been taking the mickey out of it."
Over the course of fifteen series of the BBC favourite, nearly a dozen couples have split up thanks to their time on the show causing fans to label the series as ‘cursed.’
Claire also revealed that she "loves" the BBC dancing show because "it’s the experience of a lifetime" and said she "would be surprised" if Faye didn’t make it to the final.
However, the ‘Tragedy’ hitmaker said that she won’t be appearing on the show just yet, as she wants to focus on her debut solo album which comes out in February and also added that she is committed to the forthcoming Steps album.
The ‘One For Sorrow’ hitmaker added: "I thought I had got to the age where this wasn’t a consideration. Who starts a solo career at the age of 40? But the songs clicked and I’m happy. I’m doing this but I’m committed to the next Steps album."
