Iman wants to travel

Iman wants to "travel".
The 63-year-old supermodel – who is the widow of ‘Space Oddity’ hitmaker David Bowie, who tragically passed away in 2016 after suffering from liver cancer – has said she would love to head off and see the world, as it’s something she’s always wanted to do.
Speaking about her plans for the future, she said: "One thing I want to do, which I have not done for a long time, is travel."
Iman has her heart set on places including Vietnam, Korea, and Australia, but says she would never go travelling around the states of America, because she feels "scared" in the current political climate.
She added: "Maybe five years ago [I would have traveled], but America has changed. The hostility and division is palpable. When one feels scared that you cannot travel to certain places in the country, because you don’t know how hostile it is – where is the democracy?"
The beauty was born in Somalia but moved to America to pursue a modelling career and now has a dual nationality, and considers herself both Somali and American.
And despite her growing fears about America’s political climate, she insists she’d never leave the country.
Speaking to PorterEdit, she said: "As much as I am Somali, I am American. This is the country that gave me everything, so it is my duty to stick it out."
Meanwhile, Iman previously revealed she wasn’t even sure she would make it as a model when moved to the US to pursue her career dreams.
She said: "In 1976, after I’d arrived in New York, aged 20, my very first modelling job was for Vogue."
Growing up in eastern Africa in the 1960s and ’70s, I could not have aspired to become a fashion model even if I’d wanted to: If they existed, news of their habits never reached me at boarding school."
