The Rolling Stones reschedule tour dates

The Rolling Stones have rescheduled their Australian and New Zealand tour.

The band – featuring Sir Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards – postponed their ’14 ON FIRE’ tour last month after frontman Mick’s long-term girlfriend, fashion designer L’Wren Scott, 49, committed suicide at her New York apartment and was discovered on March 17.

The ‘Brown Sugar’ hitmakers were due to kick off their world tour in Perth on March 19 but were forced to postpone it until October and November this year.

Mick – who had been in a relationship with L’Wren for 13 years until her suicide – was left devastated by her death and the band cancelled their touring commitments to give him time to grieve before she was laid to rest at a small private funeral in Los Angeles.

The Rolling Stones tour will now kick off at the revamped Adelaide Oval on October 25 and there are two additional concerts to be added at Perth Arena on Saturday, November 1 and Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday, November 15.

The new tour dates are:

October 25 – Adelaide Oval

October 29 – Perth Arena

November 1 – Perth Arena

November 5 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne

November 8 – Hanging Rock, Macedon

November 12 – Sydney Allphones Arena

November 15 – Hope Estate, Hunter Valley

November 18 – Brisbane Entertainment Centre

November 22 – Auckland Mt Smart Stadium

Fans unable to attend the new shows are asked to secure a refund from their original point of purchase.
