Fearne Cotton to present interior design show

Fearne Cotton is set to front a new interior design show.
The 37-year-old presenter will host an eight-part series called ‘Project Interiors’ on BBC Two and Netflix as 10 fledgling competitors tackle design challenges and compete to win a life-changing contract with a prestigious commercial client.
The blonde beauty said: "I’m thrilled to be part of this new show. With such a love of interiors, art and design this show couldn’t be any more up my street.
"The designers on the show are so talented, so it’s going to be really creatively inspiring with loads of wow moments."
The series will be judged by former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration magazine, Michelle Ogundehin as each week she enlists the help of a special guest – including the likes of Mary Portas, Jade Jagger and Matthew Williamson – to help her decide who has achieved the best design and who will be leaving the show.
Michelle said: "It’s so exciting to be part of a show that truly celebrates the art and craft of what it really takes to be a great interior designer. Plus there’s jeopardy, intrigue and even some tears too!"
The teams will be put through their paces as they have to work together but against the clock to transform a space – from hairdressers to holiday chalets to hotel bedrooms – into something creative that will impress the judges.
Retail champion Mary Portas explained: "What a joy working with Michelle in ‘Project Interiors’ as a specialist guest judge, retail is going through such a cultural shift it was a real pleasure to see these bright and incredibly creative designers create tomorrow’s shops in this exciting competition."
While designer Jade Jagger added: "It was great fun to work on ‘Project Interiors’ with such a great team. It is always impressive to see what the next generations are doing and I am really proud to be a part of that process."
‘Project Interiors’ is coming to screens soon.
