Charli XCX and Troye Sivan announce collaboration

Charli XCX and Troye Sivan have announced their collaboration ‘1999’ will be released this Friday (05.10.18).
The 26-year-old pop star told her 3.23 million fans on Twitter that the track is going to be out this week and she unveiled the artwork that depicts the pair as characters from ‘The Matrix’, dressed in black floor-length leather and PVC coats and black sunglasses.
Charlie first posted: "Hey Troye……. @troyesivan (sic)"
Troye instantly replied: "mmmmhmmm Charli? (sic)"
Charli wrote: "Do you wanna go back?????"
Troye answered: "Back where!!!???"
Charli then broke the news of her single, writing : "……to 1999!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The ‘Boom Clap’ chart topper then sent fans into a frenzy when she released the official artwork hours later and made a second announcement to her loyal followers on Instagram.
Charli exclaimed: "1999 OUT THIS FRIDAY – BY UR FAV POP LEGENDS @TROYESIVAN AND MEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! pic by @jacobbixdesign by @tmthy.luke (sic)"
Fans couldn’t get enough of the science-fiction style artwork and took to Twitter to show their support for the pop pair.
One fan wrote: "It’s coming to end careers! Matrix vibes, we Stan!"
Whilst another said: "This is too much but at the same time just enough."
