Lily Allen: Happiness is partying at Glastonbury

Lily Allen thinks happiness is taking "your first E at Glastonbury".
The 33-year-old singer – who has kids Marnie, five, and Ethel, six, with her ex-husband Sam Cooper – has revealed that while she’s in a "good place" in her life, she wouldn’t necessarily describe herself as being happy.
Lily – who is now in a relationship with MC Meridian Dan – told the new issue of Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: "Look, happiness for me is your first E at Glastonbury – that’s the happy place.
"I don’t think I’ve ever had that base level of happiness. What I see as being happy is that fake level of happiness because that’s what I’ve had from the spike in endorphins or whatever.
"But I’m in a happy relationship, my kids are thriving and I’m creating great music. I couldn’t really ask for much more. So, yeah, I’m in a good place."
Last month, Lily revealed she doesn’t want her children to "blame themselves" for her past mistakes.
The ‘Apples’ singer – who recently published her memoir, ‘My Thoughts Exactly’ – said she preferred to be open and honest about her actions so her kids wouldn’t feel "neglected" or at fault for her bad decisions.
Lily – who was married to Sam from 2011 until their divorce earlier this year – admitted: "A lot of the decisions I made when my children were really, really small will have a lasting effect on them.
"If I don’t tell them the truth, they will internalise those feelings of neglect or whatever it was.
"I would rather they know it was mummy’s fault than think, ‘It’s my fault.’"
The full interview with Lily appears in the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, which is out on Wednesday (03.10.18).
