Jon Clark suspended from The Only Way is Essex

Jon Clark has been suspended from ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The 28-year-old star was reportedly sent back to Essex on Thursday (27.09.18) and banned from appearing in the rest of the series after he allegedly slapped James ‘Diags’ Bennewith following a row over a girl in Tup Tup nightclub in Newcastle.
A source told The Sun Online: "Jon and Diags were both chatting up the same girl in the club. Things started to get pretty competitive between the pair. A fight broke out and Jon slapped Diags before they were pulled apart. Jon said he only lashed out because Diags slapped him first."
The brawl wasn’t caught on camera at the time but producers are said to be furious about the public spat and will not tolerate aggressive behaviour between the cast.
The insider explained: "They weren’t filming at the time but producers found out and Jon has been sent home today. Bosses are really unhappy."
Diags is reportedly "reeling and really upset" about Jon’s outburst.
A friend of his told the publication: "Diags was punched in the face by Jon.
"He’s reeling and feels really upset."
However, a spokesperson for Jon has claimed that he’s decided to take a break from the show anyway because he’s going through "a lot of stuff in his personal life."
They said: "Jon and Diags had a row over some things Diags had said about Jon to a girl they both know. She was in the club and Jon confronted Diags about it. They got into a row in the club. Jon is going through a lot of stuff in his personal life at the moment and wants to take a break from being on the show to focus on his family and helping his sister with her daughter, as well as his business Essex Tints. This has been in discussion with the show for some time now and is part of a wider plan for Jon."
