Bradley Walsh keeps Doctor Who secrets from The Chasers

Bradley Walsh has had to keep ‘Doctor Who’ secrets from ‘The Chase’ stars.
The 58-year-old actor presents the ITV game show, and he admitted the Chasers – including Anne Hegerty and Mark Labbett – are huge fans of the sci-fi series, which held its official launch in Sheffield on Monday (24.09.18), and are "thrilled" he has joined the cast .
He told Metro.co.uk: "The Chasers have been [asking for information] because they’re mad Whovians. They really are. Especially Anne Hegerty and The Beast. ‘I had to hold my nerve. But they’re thrilled for me."
Bradley also explained how Jodie Whittaker being introduced as the first female Time Lord in the show’s history was a big part of his motivation to join the cast alongside Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill.
He said: "Jodie Whittaker is brilliant, the fact we’ve got a female Doctor I think is sensational, and I mean sensational and that’s what made me want to be part of it.
"That and the fact there was four companions, the Doctor would lead from the front like a general and we’d be the cohorts, and consequently that’s what sold me.
"The phrase was, ‘Imagine it’s James T. Kirk on the bridge of the Enterprise and you’re the team’ and I said, ‘I get it. I’m in.’ "
Although he’s excited for the launch of the new series, Bradley – who plays companion Graham O’Brien in the upcoming run – recently admitted he struggled to adapt to such a different style of filming, which sees a tennis ball used in place of something to be added later through CGI.
He previously said: "There’s nothing to react to. So I remember I walked out of wherever we were, and I had to walk out one building and come out and they said, ‘Right, so you’ve gotta look at this thing and you gotta be in awe of this massive great thing.’ "
