ITV launching hip hop series

ITV are launching a brand new hip hop series called ‘Don’t Hate The Playaz’.
The upcoming show has been described by bosses as "an anarchic comedy entertainment show that celebrates all things rap and hip hop" with a host of top stars lined up, including the likes of Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens, grime rapper Lady Leshurr, comedian Darren Harriott, former MTV presenter Maya Jama and DJ Shortee Blitz.
On the website to register for free tickets, producers have added: "Featuring some of the most exciting names on the UK music scene, the show will have performance rounds, physical challenges and above all loads of great live music."
Bosses have teased "a few more" music stars that can’t be named as they aim for a star-studded line-up to launch the new show.
Discussing the format, the team said: "Winners are decided on the night by the studio audience, who will play a huge part in the show."
While the exact location is being kept secret, the episodes will be recorded in Islington and the studio has been described as "a secret underground central London venue like you’ve never seen before".
The show is said to be "completely bonkers" entertainment, and while ITV2 are yet to officially announce the commission, the first recordings are set to take place on September 25 and 27.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "It’s going to be completely bonkers with big names on the UK music scene."
