Little Mix and 5 Seconds of Summer for BBC R1 Teen Awards

Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer, Mabel and Sigrid are among the performers at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards 2018.
The ‘Power’ hitmakers – comprised of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – will bring their show-stopping live show to the ceremony at The SSE Arena, Wembley, London, on October 21, where they have been nominated for Best British Group.
The four-piece said: "We are so excited to be performing at Radio 1’s Teen Awards so we will see you all there."
The girls will battle it out with The 1975, Clean Bandit, Rudimental and Years & Years to take home the trophy.
Rising stars HRVY and Jack and Jack are also on the bill along with Jonas Blue and Not3s.
‘Youngblood’ hitmakers 5 Seconds of Summer will go up against K-pop stars BTS, The Carters (Beyonce and Jay-Z), The Chainsmokers, Panic! At The Disco for Best International Group.
They said: "We can’t wait to be back in the UK playing shows. It’s one of our favourite places to play. To be able to play Radio 1’s Teen Awards before our own tour starts is the perfect way to kick things off! Thanks to Radio 1 for having us, can’t wait to see everyone there!"
And Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Liam Payne, George Ezra and Anne-Marie are in contention for Best British Solo Artist.
Whilst Camila Cabello, Drake, Khalid, Shawn Mendes and Taylor Swift have received nods for International Solo Artist.
This year also features the Most Entertaining Celeb category, with Cardi B, Gemma Collins, Chrissy Teigen, Anne-Marie and Millie Bobby Brown nominated.
Last year, ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Gemma suffered a nasty fall on stage when she fell through a trap door whilst presenting an award.
The annual bash – now in its ninth year – will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenters Greg James, Maya Jama and Mollie King, and many more stars from the world of music, TV, movies and sport are to be announced to appear at the ceremony in the coming weeks.

Best British Group – The 1975, Clean Bandit, Little Mix, Rudimental, Years & Years
Best International Solo Artist – Camila Cabello, Drake, Khalid, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift
Best International Group – 5 Seconds Of Summer, BTS, The Carters, The Chainsmokers, Panic At The Disco
Best Film – Avengers: Infinity War, The Greatest Showman, Deadpool 2, Black Panther, Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Best Games – Fortnite: Battle Royale, FIFA 18, Call Of Duty: WWII, Super Mario Odyssey, Playeruknowns Battlegrounds
Best TV Show – Love Island, Queer Eye, Game of Thrones, Blue Planet 2, First Dates
Most Entertaining Celeb – Cardi B, Gemma Collins, Chrissy Teigen, Anne-Marie, Millie Bobby Brown
