Roger Daltrey upset Elton John hasn’t played his charity gig

Roger Daltrey is annoyed that Sir Elton John has never played a charity gig for him.
The Who frontman has claimed the ‘I’m Still Standing’ hitmaker has ignored his "bloody emails" when he’s asked him numerous times to help headline a concert to raise money for the UK’s Teenage Cancer Trust, which aims to improve the care and experience of young people aged between 13 and 24 suffering with the illness.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the 74-year-old singer said he’d decided to go public with his annoyance because he "can’t get through to him any other way."
Daltrey is particularly frustrated because he has played at the 71-year-old singer’s charity concert "three times" and thinks now is the time that he returned the favour.
He said: "I have done his charity three times, it’s about time he did one for me."
Although he’s desperate to get Elton on his line-up, Roger has done really well with his concerts so far as he’s managed to bag Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher and Sir Paul McCartney since he started the charity gigs at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2000.
His next set of shows for the children’s charity are scheduled to run in March 2019 but it’s not yet known who he has asked to perform and whether he has a line-up already in place.
Roger was recently honoured with a plaque at the Royal Albert Hall for his work as a patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust as the venue has so far raised £29 million.
Elton, on the other hand, regularly organises his own charity concerts for the The Elton John AIDS Foundation, which aims to create an AIDS-free future for everyone in the world.
