Gemma Atkinson is already missing Gorka Marquez

Gemma Atkinson is already missing boyfriend Gorka Marquez as he starts preparations for the new series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ and ‘Emmerdale’ star – who started dating Gorka after she appeared on ‘Strictly’ in 2017 – has taken to Instagram to bemoan the absence of the Spanish dancer.
Gemma posted a photograph of a solo coffee cup and captioned the image: "Coffee for one… missing my coffee buddy @gorka_marquez. (sic)"
The 27-year-old dancer – who will return to TV screens on ‘Strictly’ in September – subsequently reposted the same snap and added a sad face and love heart emoji.
Meanwhile, Gemma recently admitted she decided to quit ‘Emmerdale’ after her mum told her she was being "grumpy".
The 33-year-old actress loved playing Carly Hope in the ITV soap, but opted to leave the show because shooting her scenes, learning her lines and presenting her Key 103 radio show was making her feel tired.
Gemma – who also previously played the part of Lisa Hunter on ‘Hollyoaks’ from 2001 until 2005 – said: "I was doing my Key 103 radio show and ‘Emmerdale’ together for six months and I just took on too much.
"I had no social life at all and it was my mum who told me that I was getting so grumpy I had to leave one of the jobs."
Despite this, Gemma is hopeful she will be able to reprise her role as Carly "at some point".
She said: "I chose to leave ‘Emmerdale’ and I’m very grateful that it’s been left open, so hopefully at some point I will return."
